High Quality Ford Grilles Combining Style and Function
An old dictum says, “Form follows function.” Since this idea has been conceptualized in the late 19th century, it has become a basic rule among designers, whatever field they may be into. Auto designers follow this simple philosophy as well; thus, fast and high performance sports cars have aerodynamic body and Sport Utilities and other off-road vehicles have muscular and robust appearance and hard wearing auto parts. These vehicles’ exterior and components are designed according to the driving activities for which they are fitted and used.
Some auto parts have more than one function. Among these is the grill or grille – Ford Parts for your vehicle. This part is designed not only to perform a task crucial to the car’s performance but it is designed to add style and aesthetic refinement to the vehicle, too. While the form of the Ford Grilles follows its function, it includes the element of style. In effect, it doesn’t only enhance the performance but also, the car’s looks and over-all appeal.
The grille serves as an opening to the front end of the vehicle; thus, it has holes through which the air passes. As it allows air to pass, the grill helps in cooling the engine and of course, in improving its performance; thus, its use cannot be simply disregarded. The grille is connected to the shroud of the radiator so it also called as the radiator grille or the radiator air inlet. From the grille, the air goes directly to the radiator and to the engine.
A car without a grille in front would not be beautiful to behold and so a grilles is also used to conceal parts under the hood that can be seen through the hole where it is placed. For added style, most grilles are mounted with a metal or plastic insert. If you want your old Ford to look more luxurious and sophisticated, you can choose to get a new shiny billet aluminum grill insert or if you want to achieve a monochromatic effect, you can get a plastic grill insert whose color matches the body of your car.
Replacing your grille and other exterior auto parts could be a perfect way to restyle and customize your vehicle and make it stand out from the rest of the cars on the road. Ford Car Warranties Don’t live a little, live on fire
If you have a car that was manufactured by Ford and you are looking at buying extended car warranty, then it’s worth shopping around. By spending time researching your options, you might end up saving yourself a lot of money. The purchase of warranty agreements is an area that seems to cause many UK consumers a lot of confusion. This confusion undoubtedly arises, in part, from the way in which such products are sold in the United Kingdom.
Many are under the incorrect impression that it is necessary to visit a car dealership in order to purchase a policy. This is not, in fact, the case when it comes to such products. Nor is it the case when we turn to look at the specifics of buying a warranty for a Ford vehicle.
New vehicles will generally come with a warranty included. This is to cover the car owner during their initial period of vehicle ownership. Since new vehicles might be expected to have a few niggles, it is often fortunate that such cover is in place. The length of this initial cover can vary from one manufacturer to the next. When you purchase a new car, it’s important that you check on the exact details of any inclusive warranty arrangement. You may find that it provides assistance for anywhere between 12 and 36 months.
Once this cover expires, many Ford owners look to purchase extended warranty agreements. These can ensure that you can continue to use your car, safe in the knowledge that any problems will be covered. The financial safety margin that such a policy provides can be invaluable.
At this point, you may think that the most sensible thing to do would be to visit your local Ford dealership. This may not, however, necessarily result in you getting the best possible car warranty deal. Unless you take the time to shop around, you may be unaware of whether you are being offered real value for money.
This highlights the importance of spending time researching what’s available. You could save yourself a considerable amount by comparing prices online. Don’t simply accept the first offer that you see. Don’t live a little, live on fire

Ford Takes it to Toyota With a New Hybrid
When it comes to hybrid cars, Toyota has been the big dog on the block with the incredibly successful Prius. As hard as it might be to believe, Ford has come up with something better – the Ford Fusion Hybrid.
Although gas prices have plummeted in these dire economic times, there are few people who believe they won’t rebound when the economy turns around. When prices go back up, Hybrids are going to be very popular again. Although Toyota has dominated that market for years, buyers will return to it to find a familiar brand actually offering the best hybrid car on the market – Ford.
In recent years, Ford has done much to repair its business model. New and interesting cars have rolled off the assembly line. The days of “FORD” standing for “fix or repair daily” have also passed as quality has gone up to levels found in foreign cars. All this being said, Ford was still known for creating cars that thought gas was as readily available and cheap as air. From the F-150 truck to the thirsty Mustang, this was simply the way Ford did it.
Ford hybrids have always been a bit of a joke. The idea that one could create a hybrid SUV that got a whopping 20 miles to the galloon always seemed a bit odd. The vehicle wasn’t economical, it just wasn’t as bad as before. That hardly made for a “green” offering that many consumers were looking for. Once the economy went in the tank, few thought we would see much more from Ford for a while. Heck, many wonder even now if Ford will survive as a functioning company.
Ford will survive. The new management deserves kudos. Yes, the company is suffering now, but so is every manufacturer. Mighty Toyota is seeing sales drop 40 percent – more than Ford. Once this economic mess is overcome, Ford is going to surge.
The Ford Fusion Hybrid is a great car. Frankly, it is something you would expect Honda or Toyota to put out. Having ridden in one, I can tell you the biggest difference is the car feels like a car. If you’ve ridden in or driven a Prius, you’ll know what I mean. The Prius is a great car, but there is always a slight sensation that you are in something that could fall apart at any time. The Fusion feels like a family sedan. If you’ve been in a non-Hybrid fusion, you’d be hard pressed to notice the difference except for the lack of noise when the engine shuts down.
If you are considering a hybrid, don’t just drive over to the Toyota dealer. Do some reading on the Ford Fusion Hybrid. Then go give it a test drive at the end of March when it goes into wide release across all Ford dealers. The car is so impressive that it might just be Ford’s ticket out of this economic mess.
